Date Of Death:February 27, 2013

Tess Marie Landherr, 16, of Rose Creek, died Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from injuries sustained in an auto
accident.

Tess was born on August 22, 1996, in Austin, MN to Joseph and Kimberly (Reed) Landherr.  Tess grew up in Rose Creek, MN.

Tess was a Junior at Southland High School.  Tess loved to dance.  Tess was on the Southland Dance Team and was a member of Just for Kix dance for almost 13 years.  Tess was active in Volleyball and Softball and was a member of the Southland Band and Drumline.  Tess was also a lifeguard at the Town and Country Swimming Pool.

Tess loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  Tess enjoyed hunting with her father and brother Cameron and enjoyed playing music with her brother Kelvin.   Tess especially loved spending time with her mom going on road trips, putting together puzzles, and doing just about anything they could come up with. The whole family enjoyed going to Tess' extra-curricular activities. Tess was a spirited young lady who always brought energy into everything that she did.  Tess had an infectious laugh that will be missed dearly by all.  While Tess was only with us a short time, she and her smile will live in our hearts forever.

Tess is survived by her parents, Joseph and Kimberly (Reed) Landherr; her two brothers, Cameron and Kelvin
Landherr, Rose Creek.  Maternal Grandparents Frank (Don) and Esther Reed, Rose Creek.  And Paternal Grandmother Barbara Landherr, Rose Creek.  Tess is also survived by numerous Aunts and Uncles and Cousins who loved her dearly.

Tess was preceded in death by her Grandfather, Norbert Landherr; her cousin Peter Landherr, and Great-Grandparents on both sides.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Rose Creek with Father Tom Loomis officiating.  There will be a 3:30 pm rosary and a 6:30 pm wake service on Saturday at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 3:30-6:30 pm.  Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.

Joe, Kim, Cameron, and Kelvin, Words cannot express what you must be feeling right now and nothing I can say can take away the sorrow, but I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Tess was an amazing girl who lit up every room and hallway she was in. She may have been small in size, but she made up for that in personality. Her spunk, laughs, and quirkiness will be sorely missed by many. Her enthusiasm for life and whatever she was doing was amazing. I always admired how she was never afraid to be herself or laugh at herself. She was taken too soon, but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew her. Again, my deepest sympathy.

Joe, When I read about the accident Thursday and saw Landherr and Rose Creek, my heart sank. I don't know what to say because nobody ever expects to lose their child. I'll be praying for you and your family.

I extend my deepest sympathy to your family. I didn't know Tess, but my daughter is a friend of Kelvins. If Tess was anything like him, she was a great person. I lost a son, and I know the deep void left by his passing. I am sure you are feeling it too. There will come a time when you will think of Tess and only remember the good times, the laughter, and you will be able to smile again. I am so sorry for your loss. Audrey Wencl Dean Chapman

Kim and Joe and family of Tess Landherr: I am so sorry to hear about Tess; my thoughts and prayers are with you all! I remember her from Kindergarten when her and my Daughter Raven started their schooling together. She was always the one with the biggest smile, even as a 5 year old. She is such an outgoing and humorous person, and certainly will be missed by everyone in the Southland and surrounding communities! My prayer for you is that God wraps His loving spirit around all of you, and strengthens you as you remember Tess, and what she means to so many of us. God bless you! Barry Fett

I wasn't privileged to have known this young woman, but judging from her photo, and having known her paternal grandfolks well, she mirrored their fun-loving natures. God bless the life that passed so quickly through the starry skies.
